You’re invited to an OCC Packing Party

As a follow-up to our “Christmas In July” collection for Operation Christmas Child, we’ll be gathering on Saturday, October 25 at 10 a.m., to fill shoeboxes with all the goodies you so graciously donated last summer. Help is needed to assemble the boxes; fill them with toys, school supplies, and personal care items; check the labels; write out notes of encouragement to place into each box, and to cover them all in prayer. So if you spare a few hours that morning to help Jesus transform the life of a child and bring them joy at Christmas, we’ll gladly find a place for you! Of course, snacks will be served too, because what kind of Methodist party would it be without food?

Financial help is also needed to cover the $10 cost of shipping each box around the world in time for Christmas. If you can afford to contribute for this purpose, we’ll have a donation box available for you to drop your cash or checks into. Checks should be made out to Samaritan’s Purse, with Operation Christmas Child, or OCC, in the memo.
