ANNUAL FREE FISHING EVENT
Saturday, June 13
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In keeping with the DNR’s designated “free” (as in no fishing license is required) summer fishing date, we’re again inviting our neighbors to bring their kids down to our lakeside pavilion for our Free Fishing Event. Activities are mainly geared toward children entering K-5th grade, although you’re welcome to register your older kids too.* We’ll teach them all the skills they’ll need to succeed at fishing, from putting a worm on their hook, to casting their rod, reeling in the fish, and removing the hook from its’ mouth. We’ll even provide them with all the equipment they’ll need for a safe and fun-filled fishing experience, including a boat with a captain, a life jacket, a rod, some bait, and even a lunch!
(Please note, this is not a “drop-off” event. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.)
